  2. who wrote this blurb i wonder?

minutely examined??? Kevin Rose's Pownce was over-examined by pretty much every tech blog....

chosen few? uh... its called "beta" ...

looks like the NYT needs to hire some more competent writers of their own.... (or at least take caution as to what their blurb says as i have no interest in going to read this full article given the facts were already blown to pieces in a single sentence.)

    p.s. hottest?? hmm.

  1. remember a while back when Verisign caught heat for directing a normal "server not found" error to an advertisers page instead... they had to pretty much take down the service after all this... well OpenDNS does the same thing in principal without being Versign (a company that controls a LOT of the nets traffic, all dot com, dot net, and some more...) OpenDNS is optional and will route your request through their servers... which are configured to fix typos, turn keywords into yahoo searches, etc... nothing gorund-breaking or having to be rushed to, funded & advertised through... hence the mention in NYT. - Matt   - 07/09/2007
  2. so it's spell check? - iamaskibum   - 07/09/2007
  3. it's more of like a "route all my internet requests through this places servers, by and large you get to same internet (they claim OpenDNS can be faster though i'm not familiar with the initimates) .. but if you mis-spell a URL they will attempt to correct it, and if you enter something thats not a url like "chris benoit roid rage" then it will route you to a yahoo search (along with yahoo ads ) for that term... your basically allowing their server to route the destination of your browsing requests. - Matt   - 07/09/2007

  1. When Tony walks into the diner he looks at himself sitting down at the table...you can be sure of this b/c he is wearing different clothes when he sits down. In the previous seasons it had been told to us that Tony's dad died just as his daughter (Janice) walked in...if you watch closely you will see Janice walk in shortly after Tony sits down...this is used to signify the possibility of that happening again. Then you will see the sports store owner who Tony destroyed walk in wearing a brown kinda hunting jacket...he is the guy that a couple seasons back got into gambling trouble with tony and tony took over his store...HE IS THE ONE WHO WACKS TONY...he comes in and sits down hunched over...hiding his eyes as not wanting to be noticed...and alas...a voice over: "You probably dont even here it when it happens rite?" (this is Bobby talking to Tony in the 1st episode of the season...Tony had this flashback as he was laying down in the last episode...there would be no reason to have had that in unless it had some huge significance...and finally...Tony's daughter walking in to see her dad get shot just as Janice did so many years ago. You hear the bell of her walking in and then blackness...nothing...it signifies the neverending cycle of the SOPRANO family. AJ will become Tony...Meadow

will become Janice...Carmela will become Livia (Tony's mom)...and the cycle of violence goes on and on and on....absolutlely amazing!!! I HATED the ending at first but when I wached it again...and understood it...it is really the most amazing ending possible for the show. We really would not have been satisfied with the boring "Tony getting shot in the head" ending. This was priceless. Remember, this was not an action show...it was a drama

    about a FAMILY...

Now all you DVR-ers need to go home and watch it again and again and again!
    - iamaskibum   - 06/11/2007
  2. I disagree, and I loved the ending. I find it hard to believe that all these people whom have vendettas with Tony, happen to show up in the same diner as him at the same moment. Every person in the diner can be linked to someone that has a vendetta with Tony. This led me to believe that we were looking through his eyes. He's a paranoid man, who never can rest easy, haunted by his past, and what could happen to him at any moment. He was daydreaming, reflecting on what could come back to haunt him. But for that one moment, in the diner, they were a family having dinner. - Dave   - 06/11/2007
